Safety and Protection for Tight Line Transportation of Qinhuangdao—Beijing Oil Pipeline

The tight line transportation technology of oil pipeline must rely on reliable safety and protection means. The paper describes the principle of multi-protection means in safe operation of the pipeline. In the light of features of Qinhuangdao-Beijing Oil Pipeline, 5 protection measures to water hammer with 4 systems to the pipeline used tight line transportation technology are reviewed. Some safety measures to the whole line are presented.
