Optimizing the Running Way of Main Pumps for Oil Product Pipeline with Batch Transportation

Take the technological reform of Kunlunshankou pumping station in Golmud-Lhasa oil product pipeline as an example, the article discusses the running way of main pumps for oil product pipeline with batch transportation. The calculation of parameters and comparison on the paral- lel running and/or series running of main pumps have been made. It is pointed out that the running way of main pumps with the series running is more advantageous than the parallel running when the different oil products are delivered with batch transportation, while the throughput greatly differs between the oil products.
