Integrity Assesment on Buried Pipeline

Through analyzing the cause affecting the reliability and integrity of pipeline operation, the paper presents an evaluation method on pipeline accident caused by corrosion, and points out that ASME B31G and its correction factors can more accurately determine the allowable safety strength of corroded pipe section.and the possible leak time, corrosion rate, and residual service life of pipeline can be predicted with the electrochemical corrosion theory.
