Rheology Test of Cainan Crude Oil, OGST

  • Cainan crude oil is a parafin-based crude. Its wax precipitation point is between 48~50℃ and anomalistic point is at 20℃. In the light of these characteristics, the heating and drugging treatment tests have been made. The results show that the oil's rheology has been improved. Its viscosity, set point, anomalistic point, and yield stress are obviously reduced. Based on the test results, the parameters concerned of the heating temperature and injection rate of additive have been determined, which effectively guides the operation of Cainan oil pipeline.
