Failures and Trouble Shooting for Golmud——Lhasa Oil Product Pipeline

An analysis shows that the major failure in Golmud——Lhasa oil product pipeline includescoating deterioration, poor CP, weld defects, and human destrution. Therefore, some suggestions are put forward, including scientific evaluation on the status quo of corrosion and CP system of the line, inspection on internal/external corrosion, wall thickness distribution, damage and/or deformation, and introducing foreign leakage detection system.
