Wax Deposit Reason and Wax Control in Wanjia——Zhoulizhuang Oil Pipeline

The paper describes the crude oil properties and main transportation parameters of Wanjia——Zhoulizhuang oil pipeline, analyzes the reason of wax deposit. The oil pipeline, with differentdiameters and low throughput, has never been cleaned from its commissioning up to now, so the wax deposit and serious corrosion exist. The calculation has been made on the wax thickness with actual operation parameters. The thickness of wax deposit and its distribution law are described according to the actual operation parameters. Some wax removing methods are adopted, including heating cleaning. In the light of the results obtained in wax cleaning, the authors recommend several suggestions to control wax and remove wax deposit.
