Carrying out the Technology Policy on Pipeline Transportation to Increase the Comprehensive Capability of the Pipeline Transportation Industry

The state technology policy is a very important policy for one country to guide the technological progress, economical construction, and social development. At the early begining of the 1980s, China's petroleum enterprises began to carry out the technology policy on pipeline transportation issued by the state, and China's pipeline transportation industry obtained rapid development in technological progress and management in recent 20 years. However, it is considered that the comprehensive technology of the transportation industry still falls behind the developed countries in the world. Therefore, on the basis of status quo of the transportation industry, the author puts forward several suggestions in setting up the transportation industry's management system and enhancing the control level to speed up the development of China's pipeline transportation industry in constructing natural gas pipeline, expanding oil product/coal slurry pipeline, design and construction of pipelines, anti-corrosion, and applying CAD technology.
