Technological Problems in the Batch Transportation of Crude oil and Oil Product

Some technological problems related to the batch transportation of crude oil and products, such as transportation at ambient temperature, products sequencing, comtaminated products reprocessing, interface detection, and pigging, are posed combining with current circumstances home and abroad. It is pointed out that besides following common principle on products sequencing for batch transportation, the contamination problem caused by the sulpher content and color of crude oil should be considered. In aspect of contamination reprocessing, some methods like distillation, metal-oxidization treatment, caustic treatment, and filtration, are set forth. Furthermore, a brief introduction to the interface detection and pigging technology is also made.
