Analysis on the Rotative Ladder Deformation Accident of A Floating Roof Tank

A site investigation has been made on the accident of rotative ladder deformation in a floating roof tank in Linyi pump station. The investigative and analytical results show that there are three main causes for the accident: the location of tank, changing weather, and high tank-level. Some suggestions that working in accordance with relative codes and regulations, improving the evaluation of indexes for tank, technical reform, and enhancing management in order to protect against the accident be set forth.
