Analysis on the Energy Consumption of Pump for Korla-Shanshan Oil Pipeline

Korla pumping station is the unique station to supply the driving force for Korla--Shanshan oil pipeline. The consumption of electric energy of the main pump acounts for more than 75% of total consumption of the pipeline. The paper analyzes the energy consumption of the main pump in the light of different operation conditions. The paper points out that it is more economical to operate the pump under lower rotational speed in the condition of meeting the needs of operating parameter and pumping rate.
