Desulfurization Technology for the Orimulsion

  • The Orimulsion developed by Venezuela's BITTOR contains 2.8% sulphur, and the SO2 will contami-nate the atmosphere when it is burning and discharging. Therefor, the precondition of resolution of pollution problem is to find a suitable method in desulfurization in order to widely use the Orimulsion. The article analyzes the flue gas of the Orimulsion, and points out that the desulfurization method is no difference with heavy oil and coal. On the basis of domestic investigations, the author recommends several technological methods of desulfurization, and introduces the principle, process and investment of the Orimulsion desulfurizationn.
