Stress and Deformation Analysis of the Storage Tank's Top Cover

As the increase of diameter of storage tank, the strength and stability for the framwork of top cover must be considered by designers.With the help of finite element method, it was calculated for the axial force, bending moment and twisting moment in the framwork.Furthermore, analysis of strength and stability were made.It is showed that the design of the top cover's framwork in the storage tank is in accordence with GBJ17-88 Steel Structure Design Code.
