Improvement in design of pipeline suspension crossing

  • In oil pipeline's river crossing, the characteristics of heavy load of pipeline's dead weight and large span of design will bring many problems to engineering design and construction. To counter Donglin Oil Transport Pipeline crossing engineering by comparison to some alternatives, it is considered that a suspension crossing case is of simple and direct structural driven force. Its main span wire, wind span wire and vibration absorbing wire form a space net structure with oil transport pipeline that is safe and applicable. In concrete construction, improvement is made to traditional suspension crossing structure. Points out that using wire rope as main span wire is of great limitations in suspension crossing design and high-strength steel wire of parallel bunch as main span wire is imperative to large pipe diameter and large span suspension crossing engineering. Utilizing this technology, not only the structural system of crossing bridge surface but also the joint structural system of main wire and anchoring pier should be changed correspondingly. It is inevitably a great improvement in pipeline crossing engineering design and construction technology.
