Abstract
Compound sacrificial anode is a new product in sacrificial anode family and constituted by magnesium covered zinc. Utilizes magnesium's high driven current potential to meet the requirement of pipeline's initial cathodic polarization current and the high current efficiency to achieve the objective of extended operation life span. Shown from test of operation parameters on buried compound sacrificial anodes, pipeline protective potential is -1.4V and anode opened-circuit is over 1.5 V. It is a much ideal magnesium anode potential, application result is better than that of magnesium-zinc combined method and will has a broad applicable perspect.
