Study on the application of Liquid PowerTM drag reducer in Maguang Pipeline

  • Introduces an application practice of a new generation of drag reducer (Liquid PowerTM) in Mabianzhou-Guangzhou pipeline. Using two main pumps in parallel and injecting certain amount of Liquid PowerTM makes the pipeline realize a throughput of 10×106 t/a. It is applicable both in technology and economy. Compared with the reforming plan without adding drag reducer, it can save primary investment and some operational cost, thus obtain an evident economic benefit.
