Application of caterpillar rock trencher in pipeline construction

In pipeline construction, traditional explosive trenching method has been applied in stonework section. Caterpillar rock trencher will play an important role in practical pipeline laying process. The article introduces technical quota, construction method, applicable scope and using situation of the equipment in foreign countries and makes a comparison to the two trenching methods in the aspects of advantage/disadvantage and cost.
