Testing research on explosive cutting of oil transporting pipeline

The self-crawl pipe cutter used domestically at present is incompatible with the requirement of dismantling large amount of abandoned oil pipeline due to its slow cutting speed for the one with oily internal pipe wall. The newly developed explosive cutting technology can increase cutting speed by 20 times, reduce pipe cutting cost by over 5 times. The article introduces a basic principle of pipeline explosive cutting, developing and test of the explosive cutting unit. It is most applicable for dismantling abandoned, long distance buried crude oil pipeline efficiently.
