Application prospect on the advantage and disadvantage of various analyzing methods of water content according to present situation in analysis of water content in oil at handover point and exporting point between oil field and long distance pipeline, studies the advantage in using GB 11146-89 Determination Method for Water Content in Crude Oil (Karl Fischer Method) and points out at the same time that Karl Fischer Method has a broad prospect for application in case that the disadvantage of high cost in reagent used is overcome.
