  • As there is a temperature difference existing between installation and operation temperatures of buried pipeline, the pipeline is liable to generate axial build - in force resulting from temperature difference and soil frictional resistance and -force. Axial build-in force does has a certain effect on pipeline's transversely displacement but it is usually to be neglected in concrete calculation. By deriving balanced differential e-quation of buried pipeline, adopt finite difference method to analyze and calculate the effect of axial build-in force on pipeline transversely displacement. Result shows that the axial build - in force existed makes pipeline's transversely displacement increasing, especially for the pipeline buried in soft foundation, the effect of axial build-in force on pipeline's transversely displacement is more evident. This result will provide theoretical reference for the design of buried pipeline.
