Design on complex sections of Shanjing Gas Pipeline

  • The geological condition over Shanjing Gas Pipeline shows complicated features, with many types of landform, including damping trap loess gully, medium and low mountain land and hilly, valley beach and seismic active fracture belt, etc. The article introduces design features for this pipeline and the problems required to pay attention to in pipeline laying construction under complicated geological conditions, and points out that abrupt slope and half-slope shall be avoided when passing through mountains, especially commanding point and corner point shall be selected carefully. Different pipeline stabilizing method shall be taken in light of different geological conditions of river bed; as for damping trap loess range, the pipeline shall be designed to pass through the area with weak damping trap feature; the width of pipe trench shall be widened in the range of 200mm on both sides of seismic fracture belt and its effective zone and shallow cover shall be laid on the pipeline. The article also puts forward a proposal through design practice for the engineering of the pipeline getting through complicated sections.
