A Study on Kesternich Test of Internal Anti-corrosive Coatings in Gas Transmission Pipeline

In order to resist the internal corrosion in gas transmission pipeline, enhanced Kesternich tests on five anti-corrosive coatings have been carried on in laboratory under the conditions of simulated gas transmission surroundings and the experimental results have been listed. Three results are obtained: (1)five coatings can all meet their standards with almost same corrosion resistivity; (2)their static corrosion resistivity under high pressure are far less than expected; (3)under the pressure of 10 MPa, EP coating material with vapour phase medium is more effective.
