The Joint Site Test of GY Pour Point Depressant and CDR LP Flow Improver

  • To explore a new approach of the full flow rate of pipeline in energy saving, the joint site test on adding GY pour point depressant and CDR LP flow improver to the oil has been made in Qinjing pipeline. The results show that the two additives can not produce obvious effects when they are simultaneously added to the crude oil only until the Reynolds number > 6 000. The paper analyzes the relations of the drag reduction rate and frictional pressure loss, and points out that the drag reduction rate is declined as the length of pipeline is increased for the waxy oil injected drag reduer, this is because the oil temperature drops down and Reynolds number reduces.
