  • Jianshan-Taiyuan ore slurry pipeline is the longest pipeline for transporting ore slurry in China. This pipeline presents the great def ficulty in the engineering geological investigations, pipeline design and construction for the various pipelines in the same length in China. The paper discusses the engineering geological investigation method on the aerial crossing stride of tilted dragging ropes and suspension-cable and the sustaining piers used in the engineering. The rock slope stability of every suspension-cable aerial crossing stride is analyzed. Meanwhile, a view on the regional stress field and boundary conditions about archoring reactionary body of suspension-cable aerial crossing is put forward.
