Anti-Seismic Analysis of Buried Pipelines Under the Various Kinds of Supports

The buried pipeline produces bending stresses due to the shear of seismic wave. Those stresses need to be considered in the anti-seismic design because the stresses near the support are much larger than those of the straight pipe. The buried pipeline is taken as a beam based on the elastic foundation, and the intertia of buried pipeline and media inside it are neglected. The method of structural analysis is used in the various kinds of supports. The examples and the results about some special supports are given in the paper.
