The Cold Wrapping Tape of the Epoxy Coal Tar Anti-conrrosion Paint

The application practice of the epoxy coal tar anti-corrosion paint is reviewed. It is pointed out that the paint has some advantages in its performances, however, the quality of the final coatings is limited to a certain extent in its application due to the effect of temperature on the curing reaction. A new type of the cold wrapping tape of the epoxy coal tar anti-corrosion paint is introduced. The polyester non-woven are used as the base tape. The coating material is made of epoxy coal tar with high content of epoxy resin. The coating of cold wrapping tape is suitable for the curing under low temperature and high humidity environment. The coating has high mechanical strength, strong adhesive and chemical stability. The technical specifications, installing method and economical analysis of the new product as well as its applicability are introduced in the paper.
