Applying Airborne Remote Sensing to Route Selection of Long Distance Pipeline

  • Being micrography, multiple time phase, multiple-band and detailed morphosequents, the remote-sensing image can provide a scientific basis for overall evaluating and optimizing the route plan of pipeline, engineering design, construction cost calculation, engineering capital estimation and engineering safety design. The paper describes the decipher items of remote-sensing image of long distance pipeline, analyses the functions of airborne remote sensing image in optimzing pipeline route: (1)direct providing fundamental macro.-graphic information; (2) providing dynamic and current information; (3) directing pipeline route reconnaissance. Meanwhile, the paper makes the suggestions on further improving the decipher of remote sensing image.
