Study on the Heat Transfer Law for the High Pour Point Crude Stored Underwater

The paper describes the feature of oil stored underwater and demonstrates the heat transfer law of the oil-water displacement process. The tests show that the heat transfer characteristics of underwater tank is related to the properties of oil stored. For the one kind of oil stored, the heat transferring is directly proportional to the ambient temperature; while for the oil with different properties, the heat transferrig is inversely proportional to the pour point and viscosity of oil.
