Field Test for IMC-50-S Inhibitor of Heating Medium-Water Heat Exchanger

  • Due to the ferric ion, calcium-magnesium ion and chlorion as well as high content DO contained in the recirculated water, scale deposit, corrosion and corrosion hole occurred in heating medium-water heat exchangers and pipe networks after they were put into years operation in pump stations. Field tests for IMC-50-S inhibitor have been made in Shenyang and Xiongyao pump stations. The inhibitor tests results show that the corrosion rate has been reduced below 0. 1 mm/a, which prolongs the service life of heat exchanger and pipe networks.
