Floating-type Unloading Unit Used in Covered, Floating Roof Tank

A floating-type unloading unit with bidirectional swivel joint used in covered floating roof tank has been developed, which can meet the requirements of civil aviation. The results obtained from the mechanical analysis and structures comparison show that the unit exerts a minor force upon the roof, and can move with the roof freely. The paper considers the unit to be very useful in the tank storing aircraft fuel.
