Domestic X65 Pipe Steel Used in Kurla-Shanshan Pipeline

The X65 rolling coils first produced in Baoshan Steel Works of Shanghai has been selected to be the pipe steel in Kurla-Shanshan pipeline. The final test and inspection results show that the pipe steel fully conforms to API Spec 5L Specifications(mechanical properties, chemical analysis, yield strength and tensile strength). The milling process of X65 pipe steel and the inspection data of mechanical properties (tensile strength, DWTT and hardness)are introduced in detail. It is considered that this X65 pipe steel lay the foundation of localization of manufactures for the line pipe of long distance pipeline.
