Analysis on Lightning Hazard to the Equipments and Lightning Arrestment

The input device from the field to station control computer system had been successively damaged irom two lightning strikes in Shouguang Pumping Station on Dong-Huang Pipeline. The electromagnetic effect damage to the station control devices is caused by currents induced in AC 220 V power supply line and signal line near the strikes by the electromagnetic influence of the strikes. The station control computer system has little or no the lightning arrestment, while the arrestor can not safeguard the station control e-quipment. Through analysis the paper points out that the relative lightning arrestment measurements should be taken based on the features of the equipments and the different inducement ways of lightning: ① establishing arresters on the communication interface of field signal, ② safeguarding the UPS and DC 220V power line; ③ establishing alone groundings.
