On Consideration for Rheological Study of Oil

The paper makes a survey of the oil rhedlogical study developed in China, and points out that at present there are two erroneous trends in the study, that is, lack of research on the applied basis of oil rheolog-ical study as well as study depth; only attaching importance to the abroad study results but neglecting to summarise the home study experiences. The paper introduces a great deal of achievements obtained by the home researchers in this aspect, and points out that the following scope of studies should be enhanced to promote the study in China; shear action of pump to oil; the variation laws in thixotropic behavior of oil; physical and chemical modification mechanism of rheological characteristics of crude oil.
