Situation and Future Development of LPG in China

With the sustained and speedily development of national economy and the improvement of people's lives, China is experiencing an increasing demand on LPG in cities and towns. The paper introduces the present situations of Chinese LPG facilities for production, importing, marketing and handling, and analyses such developing trends as large-scale programming of LPG gathering and distributing centers, transprovincial operations, pipeline supplying by districts, long distance pipeline, and underground cavern storage. Suggestions for the problems existing in LPG engineering are given, including strengthening planning, digesting and assimilating advanced technology, making full use of the existing facilities, developing and exploiting new approaches, and stressing attractive conditions.
