An Analysis on Measuring Techniques for the Rheological Behavior of Slurry

Abstract
As a complex multiphase fluid, slurry is not totally the same as a single phase flow in measurement for rheological behavior. When transported in pipeline the slurry to be measured shows two flow patterns, Newtonian and Binham plastic flows. When measuring rheology with capillary viscometer, several factors which may affect on measuring precision shall be considered. It is pointed out through analytical research that "gliding"correction must not be ignored, and that the. problem that measuring at low shear rate results in poor precision for non-Newtonian, and shall be dully solved.
