Abstract
It is by no means economical, that, during offshore oilfield development, one installs a number of platforms for producing and treating the well fluids which contain gases, water as well as oil. Therefore, comes the question of multiphase pipeline transportation, that is to transport the well fluid to onshore before treatment. The technology of multiphase transportation, which has been successfully applied in onshore oilfield development in foreign countries, is applicable as well in the oilfields in desert and beach. The paper outlights the research activities by foreign countries on multiphase mixed transportation : Since the 30's fluid mechanics models were used in the study, thus shifting from steady state simulation to transient simulation; In the 90's came the study on dynamics models for three phase flow. The critical equipment for multiphase flow transportation are pumps, which can be classified'as rotary pumps or twin screw pumps. The parameters and inlet requirements for the two kinks of pumps used abroad are discussed. The key technology in multiphase flow metering system is on line separation on well head, in which non-pluging, non-contact instruments of waveguide type are adopted. The factors causing pipe internal corrosion and precipitate are introduced and the measured against internal corrosion and precipitate discussed. Also, introduced are the configurations of the experimental loops, which are the important means for the study on multiphase flow, with suggestibns given on scientific study on multiphase flow in pipeline transportation.
