The Applications of XP-M reinforced Thermal Insulation Material

  • A new kind of thermal insulator——XP—M reinforced thermal material is introduced to counter theproblem that the insulation with low effectiveness in the present chemical plants causes high energy consumption. This product is an inorganic insulation material of microporous reticulated structure, consisting of pearlite, 60# beating asbestos wool, high temperature glue, surface glue, etc. It has many advantages over conventional insulating materials, such as low thermal conductivity, small required thickness, high thermal insulating performance, wide application scope, and simple working procedure. Site investigations made on the product used in valves, heat exchangers and shaped equipment show that its insulating performances meet all the process requirements. Economical and cost comparisons made between XP-M and conventional materials indicate that the former has low comprehensive costs and that large scale application can bring about considerable energy saving benefits.
