Tests Made on NUCOR's Hot Rolled Steel Plates

The hot rolled steel plates manufactured by NUCOR Works, U. S. are used for the first time in China for pipe making. In order to get first hand material, chemical analysis, mechanical test and product explosion bulge test are made by sample drawing for the first batch of the steel plates imported. Analysis and tests show that the X65 hot rolled steel plates imported from NUCOR fully comply with API standard and can meet the design requirements specified by Snamprogetti, Italy. Pipes made of such steel plates will be used in Kor-Shan Pipeline.
