Techniques for Correcting Inadequately Buried Steel Pipelines

Pipeline with inadequate or even no depth of cover may result from either natural or human causes, endangering the normal operation of pipeline. Introduced are two corrective methods, namely construction of pipe embankment and pipe lowering, with their strong and weak points discussed. Also given for the pipe lowering method are the allowable span, elastic radius of curvature, elongation and minimum excavation length > with the construction requirements and points needing for attention proposed.
