Status Quo of Our Pipeline Construction Machinery and its Future Development Strategy

Pipeline construction machinery is both a basic condition constraining construction quality of long distance pipeline, and a important factor for contractor's survival and development in the market struggle. The paper describes the present situation on welding equipments and auxiliaries, coating apply line, double-joint and multi-joint pipe assembly devices, directional drilling machine, directional boring machine and inspection equipments, which are used in the construction of long distance pipeline. And based on the present situation, the paper puts forward the future development strategy, that is, developing the technique of CAD and CAM with major effort and enhancing equipment management, application and development.
