Tips for the Reinstallation of Pumping Sets

Pipeline operation always witnesses removal and reinstallation of pumping sets and when doing this it is not unusual to encounter some technical problems due to objective restrictions. This paper, based on the experiences obtained in the reinstallation of No.3 pumping set in Xidatan Station of Golmud-Lhasa Pipeline, concludes some tips as below: ①Put the pumping unit of several tons in weight into place by using steel pipe as roll and by setting up simple tripod for lifting; ②Insert oblique pads beneath the unit, and adjust their thickness for unit alignment in horinzontal level; ③Base alignment between the existing bolt holes and bolts in the new equipment is realized by cutting anchors for bolt displacement, and pouring new foundation for anchoring; ④The following safety measures are taken before carrying out welding: valves closure, pressure relief.plugging with grease, sand pavemtnt, ventilation, fire control, etc.
