Application of the GPS Single Frequency Receiver in Pipeline Surveying

Primary pilot survey of long distance pipeline can not depend upon the national pilot points which are severely damaged, and therefore will result in large work quantity and cost, and limted progress if using the conventional pilot network which is made up of triangular chains or net. A great amount of GPS network data previously measured are collected, calculated and analized, and it is concluded that appling GPS single frequency receiver for pipeline surveying can make full use of the single frequency satellite positionning receiver, and increase working efficiency and survey precision.
