Abstract
Corrosion and prevention strip map of soil conditions along buried pipeline are studied, taking the corrosion current density (Icorr) meatured on situ as the method and the quantitive classification index for soil corrosivity evaluation. Four parameters, namely, corrosion rate, corrosion current density, coating dielectric strength and potential of pipeline cathodic protection, are chosen in the consideration of both corrosrion condition and control of pipeline corrosion? Based on these four parameters, the potential corrosion risks of buried pipeline are evaluated and marked in the pipeline profile using dedicated symbols. This study method was applied to Tie-Da Pipeline project, and a comprehensive analysis was made based on the measured data? The application of this research achievement improved the reliability and comprehensiveness of corrosion evaluation, symplified the definition and the evaluation of pipeline sections of critical corrosion, and raised the management level and economic benifit
