Flow-induced vibration and stablity of liquid pipeline

  • Theoretical study is presented for discussing vibration and stability of pipeline which rested on elastic foundation and subjected to axial force due to liquid flow. A frequency equation for describing liquid pipeline vibration is established. The effects of liquid and axial forces on the vibration and stability are discussed. A formula for describing critical pressure and velosity is presented.
