Development and Testing of the Dg700 Diameter Caliper for Gas Lines

Progress on the use of diameter caliper for pipeline inspection in China is described.It provides an efficient tool for measuring variation in pipeline geometry pre-and post hydrostatic testing and during operation。After years of research and verification, It is found that its technical features came up to the international levels and was adopted by the industry in 1989.
