For measurement of natural gas, most units resort to manual operation, a primitive stage in this field.DDY-83 A Brain Operated Multiple-Function Gas Monitor-a new type intelligent instrument developed by Sichuan Petroluem Administration Bureau in applying computer technique has made it possible to keep automatic measurement of natural gas. As it conforms to the letter with SY L04-83 Standard as laid down by the Ministry of Petroluem Industry "The Standard Orifice Metering Method for Natural Gas Flow Rate". This instrument meets all the requirements as specified in the code, and went through technical expertise in September 1986, being advanced among the same kind of products made at home with competative "properties/price"ratio. It has been now taken over to put into mass production and hoped to be popularized and applied by the units concerned.
