An Analysis of the Static Stress of a Spoke-Shaped Slant Suspension Pipeline Bridge

  • The article dealr with the application of the "Stress-Displacement" method to the analysis of the static stress of the pipeline bridges suspended with sun-flower patterned cables and the corresponding computering programme. The proguammean be used to Calculate the cable expanding stress, joint displacement of steel pipes, rod end load and the opposite force of supports. The programme can be carried out in a micro-processor. The results thus obtained show that this method is easy and simple, characteristic of fewer data put in.shcrter time for preporation, with accuracy roughly the same as done by using the normal programme. Therefore it can be easily used for suspension bridge design caleulation.
