Follow- ing the 11 typical displaying equations for friction resistance, the author has made a calculation with computer and cal ulated respectively 282 friction damping coefficients. Through analysis and comparison of them in terms of accuarey and speed based on calculation, it is recommended to choose Ghen Ningxin equation, Sesghides equa- tion and Haaland equation. When accuracy comeg to the fore, preferable are Ghen Ningxin equation and Serghides equation; when easy calculation is the main consid eration, Haaland eqation is better.
