The Yield Bending Problem of Marine Pipelines

Abstract
The yield bending damage is known as the main trouble when laying marine pipelines in a rather deeper sea water area. The pipe's wall thickness is decided not by the inner presure of the carried medium, but by construction stress, including no yeild bending being brought about in construction. The ways to calculate yield bending under various construction conditions and the seclection of pipe materials are dealt and studied here from the viewpoint of engineering.
