Application of oil and gas pipeline network simulation technologies in construction of intelligent pipeline network and its prospect

  • An accurate description of pipeline network characteristics and behaviors is required for the construction of intelligent pipeline networks. With the rapid development and application of intelligent pipeline networks, simulation technology has become indispensable for the construction of intelligent pipeline networks. Herein, a summarization was made for the current development status of the oil and gas pipeline network simulation technologies at home and abroad in theoretical research, engineering application and simulation software development. Meanwhile, the requirements of intelligent pipeline network construction for the simulation technology and platform were clarified. Besides, the application scenarios of simulation technologies in the construction of intelligent pipeline networks were elaborated from different stages of planning, design, commissioning, operation and maintenance. In addition, prospects were made for the development of oil and gas pipeline network simulation technologies from the aspects of generality, efficiency and intelligence, so as to take better advantage of the simulation technologies in the construction of intelligent pipeline networks.
