Accident consequence simulation and quantitative risk assessment of LNG tank container

  • With the rapid promotion and application of LNG tank containers, it's of great significance to study the impact of the consequences that may be caused due to its leakage, fire, explosion and other accidents, and the risk acceptability. With reference to the requirements of the existing regulations and standards, different types of accident scenarios were simulated with the EFFECTS and RISKCURVES software of Netherlands Organization for Applied Scientific Research based on the 40 in (1 in=25.4 mm). 1 AA cryogenic liquid tank container. In addition, the severity of accident consequences was predicted, and the targeted suggestions and measures were put forward. By simulating the LNG tank container in different accident scenarios, the types of accident and their influence range were defined, and the personal and social risks of multiple LNG tank containers were calculated, which are of positive significance to guide the construction of LNG tank container station and improve the contingency plan and risk management of relevant accidents.
